Quantum BC
Overview
As a joint initiative led by British Columbia's top research universities (University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, and the University of Victoria), Quantum BC aims to cultivate and foster collaborative efforts in quantum computing, revolving predominantly across research, training, and innovation. Quantum BC puts heavy emphasis on student representation and engagement, one way they're achieving this is through the NSERC Create Quantum Computing Program. This program is designed to help new and prospective graduates acquire the technical expertise and commercial skills they'll need to work in quantum computing hardware and software.
NSERC Create Quantum Computing Program
NSERC Create Quantum Computing Program is the perfect “add-on” program for current or prospective graduate students of UBC, SFU, and UVic who are interested in Quantum. The program allows students to acquire highly specialized technical expertise and commercial skills in quantum computing hardware and software. Through a combination of hands-on workshops, research projects, industrial internships, and professional development workshops, this program ensures job readiness among graduates pursuing careers in the emerging quantum computing technologies sector.
