QAI’s chairman and senior principal researcher at Microsoft, Brad Lackey just published a research article on arxiv with ChunJun Cao from the University of Maryland. The paper, “Quantum Lego: Building Quantum Error Correction Codes from Tensor Networks” introduces a graphically intuitive framework that constructs complex quantum error correction codes from simple codes or states, generalizing code concatenation. Several examples are included in order to demonstrate the framework’s capabilities.
